Do you hear that?
It sounds like bells….
You guessed it – Christmas creep is upon us! Although it is just Halloween and we should be celebrating all things spooky, we’ve secretly been listening to Christmas carols since July, preparing for our clients’ holiday marketing strategies.
It may seem a little early to be sipping on some eggnog, but it’s not too early to be thinking about your Holiday marketing must-dos. Here are a few things that experiences with our own clients of Christmas past and Christmas present have taught us to keep in mind:
We have had clients who have wanted to steer clear of any controversy and stick with the “Happy Holidays” message. We have also had others who have been very adamant about saying “Merry Christmas.” Whatever your stance is, be sure to stand by it and make sure it resonates with your audience.
The holiday season is a time to create memories. Take that into consideration and have your brand be part of the moments others experience. Whatever you do, do something specific to your brand and part of your story.
It’s a great time of the year to not (just) push products or sales. After all, people are being bombarded with advertising! It is completely appropriate to just let your audience know you are thankful for the relationship.
Whether you love the season or despise it, it is important to address it appropriately with the right message, whether it is playful or professional.
Social media is a great tool to connect with your audience and play into the senses of the season. Consider what messages or offerings make sense for you to share with your fans and followers.
Have a new product or service you can offer that you are excited about? The holidays are a perfect opportunity to give your current clients the first preview before sharing it with the rest of the world!
Whether your goals are sales, awareness, or just communicating appreciation during the holidays, we can help you drive great results with careful thought and planning.
Happy Halloween 🙂
