Hometown Dogs is a food truck started by our friends at Centerforce to provide jobs for individuals with disabilities. Focusing on the transplants at JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) Rusty George Creative created a brand focusing on delicious hot dogs inspired by home. A location marker icon was used to define the destination, or hometown, and also act as a “rally point” for the JBLM crowd. It also helps define the location of the truck as it moves around the south sound. The simple logotype and color palette were developed to stand out on the side of a truck and speak to a sense of nostalgia. The responsive website lead with the current location of the truck and explains the connection to Centerforce.
