Rusty George Creative revamped the Port of Longview’s 30-year-old logo into a solid brand system that reflects the pride it represents. Most ports lean to a clean, business-focused brand approach with a healthy dose of corporate blue, but the Port of Longview isn’t like most ports. Dealing with bulk and break bulk materials, the Port keeps Washington’s blue collar industries going strong. Its new identity represents the blood, sweat, and tears that go into gathering these materials, moving them through the Port, and sending them on their way. The new position as Washington’s Working Port is considered a badge of honor that captures the 100-year legacy, the spirit of those who work there, and the resulting impact by its presence in the region.
