Rusty George is looking for an experienced, responsible and thoughtful Account Manager to help us manage the accounts of a variety of clients in the building industry. It will be your job to ensure client satisfaction by providing the highest level of customer service and expert facilitation of their projects as they travel through our agency.
Your Role:
You’re knowledgeable about marketing functions, able to lead client meetings as necessary, and passionate about meeting clients’ goals. You are able to establish timelines and deadlines, can encourage team members to stick to them, and also have the flexibility to adjust expectations as necessary.
You are an excellent communicator with the ability to inspire internal and external team members to create quality solutions that adhere to established criteria. You are able to contribute productive insights to improve the work output, but also be confident enough to defend our team’s product.
You’ve got a great handle on time management—your own and others’—and are savvy at estimating budgets and turnaround time. You’re comfortable speaking with clients in person, via phone, or digitally, able to inspire confidence and trust, and act as your clients’ advocate with your team.
Your core responsibilities and duties will be
Monitor profitability of individual projects and client relationships
Establish and / or build relationships with your clients
Clarify criteria and expectations and coordinate team members as needed for each assigned account project and deliverable, providing ongoing insight and education as necessary
Traffic management, e.g., setting up projects in software system, scheduling, task assignment, milestones, meetings, and check-ins both with internal and external teams
Follow and manage established processes and procedures for research, development, and execution of agency projects, including creative brief development
Proactively manage tactical aspects of projects, including scope, budget, timeline(s), workflow, resource allocation, while understanding and acknowledging opportunities and risks
Maintain accuracy of schedules and timelines in Hive project management software for your clients
Maintain timely entry, accuracy of budgets, billing notes and active jobs in Harvest Project tracking software
Be able to provide billing manager clear, accurate, and thorough understanding of project progress in relation to contracted scope to ensure proper billing of all projects
Additional Duties
Identify and help develop solutions to procedural inefficiencies as needed
Assist in business development as needed (i.e. attend pitches/kick off meetings, proofread proposals)
Seek out opportunities to personally improve skills or knowledge through ongoing training and education, seminars, books, blogs, etc.
Contribute ideas to leadership on how to improve and foster a positive company culture
Contribute to overall agency appearance, including cleaning and organizing personal area and studio
Contribute to updating agency portfolio and case studies for marketing purposes
Contribute to job post mortem surveys
Baseline Requirements
Proficiency in Google or Microsoft Business Suites
Strong communication skills, including business writing
Understanding of project management processes and software
Excellent time management
Solid budgeting and estimating abilities
Willingness to learn and grow knowledgebase
Understanding of creative and marketing inputs and outputs
Experience in the building industry is a plus!

Client Engagement
Actively participate in workshops, presentations and communications in order to capture the perfect intel to build successful brand and marketing strategies
Always serve as an advocate of our clients, constantly seeking out opportunities to help them grow awareness and attract quality business development opportunities
Collaborate with our team to sharpen our skills and enhance our creative services
Discovery
Actively participate in kick-off client strategy session to determine our clients’ business goals, challenges, needs, audiences and criteria
Learn about clients’ products or services
Utilize online research tools to analyze the competitive environment
Conduct interviews of audience members to gain qualitative insights
Compile examples of best trends in the industry to use as inspiration during development
Strategy
Utilize knowledge gained during discovery, and collaborate with team to develop comprehensive brand/marketing strategy plans
Clients’ unique positions and competitive advantage
Competitive challenges and opportunities to overcome them
Audience personas, needs, motivations and preferences
Brand platform: position, promise, story and traits
Communications plan including campaign themes, inbound and outbound strategies, and content calendar
Participate in client presentations and discussions
Execution
Collaborate with the team to develop content on websites, articles/blogs, collateral, social media and advertising projects
We understand the usefulness of AI, however the ability to write customized content based on our clients’ unique voice and point of view is required. Professional writing skills (spelling, grammar, attention to detail) is a must!
Acquire, compile and record logins to clients’ websites, social media accounts, Google suite, and other digital platforms
Implement targeted traditional and digital marketing and advertising campaigns based on strategic plan
Participate in the development of outbound marketing tactics including email and direct mail campaigns
Analyze metrics, consult with team and clients, and make adjustments to improve campaign effectiveness
Seek out and present new marketing trends and methodologies to promote our clients and increase our offerings
Qualifications
Education in marketing, business, or related fields
Proven experience in the marketing field, especially in the building industry
In-depth understanding of modern marketing principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of industry-specific language
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data relevant to marketing strategies
Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects without error
Proficiency in software and tools specific to marketing and communications, including SEO, traffic analytics, Google suite, and others
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities within the context of the building industry
Agency experience is a plus. A great attitude and strong work ethic is a must!
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
